I want to purchase the frames only and then put oak on the seat and back myself. Sturdy frames wanted...not "phoofy" type frames. Need for a log cabin dining set.

Decor wise, who has your favorite kitchen on the Food Network? I like Ina's the best. I like the clean classic look of the white and stainless steel with the green accents. I have the same dried peas in glass canisters :-) I also like Rachael Ray's 30 Minute Meals kitchen set. I also love orange. My dining room is orange :-) Plus, I like the colorful retro/modern look. I want to get a set of RR cookware, the black anodized ones with the orange handles...

I bought some fancy Silverware from The Bay. its made of 18/8 stainless steel. then I bought a velvet lined wooden silverware box to put it in, instead of one of those drawer inserts and little specks of rust have been appearing within 2 months of buying the stuff. Just Lately I've noticed that the silverware sitting in the box feels like it may be wet. but we are talking about a microscopic layer of moisture. I can't even get it to show on a piece of paper towel. So I'm not even sure about what I am seeing or feeling!!! The silver ware is listed as dishwasher safe. Sso is this fancy silverware storage box actually causing the moisture to cling to the silverware or am I imagining things? any input about how to keep silverware rust free I would love to hear about. its actually stainless steel forks knives and spoons. regular stuff but higher end for a "dining room setting"

We are buying a new house and I just cant come up with the right color combo- im constantly rethinking things. here is my latest idea- can you imagine it? what do you think? any other suggestions? thanks! the house is bi-level. top floor roughly 1000 sq ft. you go up the stairs right as you walk in. to the left is the living room with a guard rail, a small bay window on the south wall, an old fashioned brick fireplace against the east wall. to the west are another set of stairs goin down, and up the stairs is a rail, then wall. to the north is connected dining room with sliding glass doors to the deck. to the west of the dining room is the kitchen with a breakfast bar. adjacent to the living room is the hallway which leads to 3 bedrooms and a bath. ok so now that you have an idea of the layout this is what i was thinking.... the wall which the red fireplace is on (which also is part of the dining room's wall) i would paint a deep, warm almond color to help contrast with the fireplace. the wall of the bay window (which is also the wall the entryway door sits) i would paint a cherry-brown color. this color would wrap around to the door, then around to the west walls up to the hallway. the hallway would be the same almond color. as well as the wall the sliding doors are on and the kitchen. dining room/kitchen flooring would be a medium earthy brown stone like vinyl tile. cabinets and breakfast bar stand would be a rich cherry expresso color. countertops black granite laminate same for breakfast bar. appliances are white, but eventually upgraded to stainless steel. drapes on bay window light tan. drapes on patio doors maybe chocolate brown.... railings black... flooring a dark rich brown wood..... baseboards along the floor white as well as bay window trimming and fireplace mantle. ceilings off white.

Hi, we are buying a new set of sofa (Leather), a new dining table (glass top with steel/aluminium bottom) and a cot (wooden). We would be using it for 2 months. Later we would be going to a different place for 4 to 5 years before we get back here again and use this furniture. During this long absence we are planning to pack all the furniture and lock it up in a room till we get back (after 4 to 5 years). Please let me know how I can pack these pieces of furniture and with what material should I pack such that once we get back the furniture is still in good shape as it would be today. As in, it consists of 2 three seater couches and 1 one seater couch. The color is exactly not black. But when you first look at it, it is somewhat black and when you really look at it, it is navy blueish black. 2 side tables are made of oak and glass. the coffee table is glass with stainless steel sidings. i have another oak bookshelf near it and a black metal bookshelf/tvshelf. 2 stainless steel lamps and side table lambs are beige/cream colored. My current dining room set is made of glass top and ocean blue upholstery velvetty/satin chairs. the chairs don't match with the couch set, i know. but i bought things on sale etc. i really want to buy a dining room set that matches my other furniture. So should i go for glass top or wood top? If wood, should i go for dark wood tops and black/brown leather chairs? I don't like upholstery chairs b/c guests always spill things on them. please help. brown or black leather chairs? glass top or wooden top?

we have white cabinets, steel appliances, dark oak floor and dark countertop/black dining set, what color wall will look better, right now its all white and looks dull..
