Hello I have a 1959 G-Plan dining room set that has some wear as you might expect of something of that age, mainly around the chair legs and on the backrests. I think that using a coloured furniture wax will improve the look of this wear. On looking at products available on the internet, I am confused about what to use and what will be best (bearing in mind I don't want to spend over about £25 in total as I plan to sell the set - I would love to keep them but I do not have the room). Can anyone tell me which types of wax are best? The chair legs are black and the chair backs are teak so I will need at least two different colours. I recently bought a beautiful small dining set which is made of untreated teak root....I have noticed that it was starting to crack in quite a few places so to stop it getting worse I have slapped a load of beeswax on it and buffed it in......will this do the trick? and should I use finishing wax on it.? many thanks.
